Semplice x Hubspot integration

Chris May 03, 2017 08:52PM CEST

Hi guys,

Awesome job on the theme. Loving it.

But run into a big snag. I'm trying to integrate your theme with Hubspot and I'm getting a few issues.

Firstly, it seems like your theme overrides the wp_footer function which Hubspot needs to track site traffic.

I've tried the following things to fix this:

- Add the code manually into the Footer module
- Edit the Footer.php file directly and attempt to insert the code

Each time I do this the wp_footer code I'm trying to add does not appear. This is the code:

https://knowledge.hubspot.com/articles/kcs_article/reports/how-do-i-know-if-my-hubspot-tracking-code-is-working

I have the Hubspot plugin installed too.

Could you guys please help? This is important for our marketing so would really appreciate a speedy response!

Cheers,
Chris

Hi Chris,

We are not able to offer support for third-party plugins and how they interact with Semplice, but I can try to help you troubleshoot.

What type of code are they having you add? You may be able to add the tracking code under Semplice > Advanced Styling > Custom CSS & JS > Custom JS.

Best,
Amanda

Hey Amanda,

Looks like the direct code I added into the Custom JS a few minutes ago now works, so problem solved!

For anyone else using Hubspot and Semplice, you can't rely on the Wordpress plugin alone. You have to manually enter the long code (in the link above) into the Advanced Styling page.

Cheers!
Chris
